Germination Instructions

Lightly scarify the seed coat using fine sandpaper or gently nick the outer coating. Use care to weaken the seed coat without damaging the inner seed.

Soak the scarified seeds in room-temperature water for approximately 12–24 hours. Sow the seeds about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep in a moist, well-draining seed-starting mixture.

Place the containers in a warm location with temperatures around 70–75°F. Cover the containers with a humidity dome to help maintain consistent moisture. Keep the growing medium moist but not overly wet.

Germination may begin within approximately 10–30 days under favorable conditions. Remove the humidity dome after seedlings emerge and provide bright light.
