Grow the fragrant and ornamental Mahaleb Cherry Tree from seed. Prunus mahaleb is a small deciduous tree native to Europe and western Asia, prized for its attractive white spring blossoms, aromatic bark, and usefulness as a rootstock for cultivated cherry varieties. It makes an excellent choice for wildlife plantings, ornamental landscapes, and naturalized areas.

Mahaleb Cherry trees produce masses of fragrant white flowers in spring that attract pollinators and beneficial insects. The small black fruits are enjoyed by birds and other wildlife, while the tree's drought tolerance and adaptability make it suitable for a wide range of growing conditions.
