Yellow Poplar, also known as Tulip Tree or Tulip Poplar, is one of the tallest native hardwood trees in eastern North America. Valued for its rapid growth, straight trunk, distinctive tulip-shaped flowers, and brilliant golden fall color, it makes an excellent shade tree for large landscapes, parks, and reforestation projects.

Mature trees can reach heights of 70 to 120 feet with a broad canopy, providing exceptional shade and wildlife habitat. In late spring, mature trees produce attractive yellow-green flowers that resemble tulips and attract pollinators.
