Germination Instructions

Desert Fan Palm seeds do not require any pre-treatment before planting. For best results, soak the seeds in warm water for 24 to 48 hours before sowing to help soften the seed coat and encourage faster germination. Sow the seeds about ½ inch deep in a well-draining seed-starting mix and keep the soil consistently warm, ideally between 80°F and 95°F. Maintain lightly moist soil and high humidity by using a humidity dome if desired. Germination typically occurs within several weeks but may take longer depending on growing conditions.

  • Plant in a location that receives full sun.
  • Water regularly during the establishment period.
  • Once established, Desert Fan Palm is highly drought tolerant.
